The ARCH Resettlement Centre
The ARCH Resettlement Centre, located on Muslin Street, features ground-level office space, a support centre, and 12 fully furnished, one-bedroom, self-contained flats spread across two floors. The building is equipped with a lift to accommodate those with mobility needs. Additionally, a south-facing garden offers a relaxing space for tenants, complete with a designated area for barbecues.
This independent service is exclusively for adult men aged 21 years and over. It delivers a structured 10-module support programme over 26 weeks, designed to help men in need build the skills and resilience necessary to sustain their own tenancy when referred for social housing. Support is provided by a dedicated team of SSSC-registered professionals who adopt a one-to-one, holistic approach. Each service user receives a tailor-made support plan, developed to address their individual needs and goals.
During a typical week, service users participate in a group session on Mondays and engage in up to five one-to-one support sessions over the course of seven days. The frequency of sessions is gradually reduced as individuals advance through the programme. The process culminates in the resettlement module, where service users are expected to be prepared to secure and maintain their own tenancy.
At the ARCH Resettlement Centre, we are committed to empowering our service users, enabling them to make informed decisions that best suit their personal circumstances and aspirations.
The ARCH Resettlement Centre is managed by a dedicated team comprising a Manager, Deputy Manager, Administrator/Finance Officer, four Resettlement Support Workers, part-time weekend support staff, and sessional staff.
This independent service offers a comprehensive 10-module support programme delivered over 26 weeks. The programme is designed to equip men in need with the skills and confidence required to sustain their own tenancy when referred to social housing. The dedicated staff team, operating within the Recovery Oriented System of Care (ROSC) framework, ensures a holistic, person-centred approach. Each service user benefits from a tailor-made support plan, designed to address their unique needs and circumstances.
Service users are expected to participate actively in their journey toward independence. Each week, they attend group sessions on Mondays and complete up to five one-to-one support sessions. The intensity of support decreases progressively as they advance through the programme. The final stage, the resettlement module, prepares service users to secure and sustain their own tenancy.
While the focus is on fostering independence through social housing pathways, tenants retain full autonomy. They may disengage from the programme at any time and opt for private rental accommodation if they choose.
